Eponymously named, SOUCY is a bridal Atelier by Mariela Torres Soucy. Known for her creative vision, design artistry and unique artistic sensibility, Mariela’s couture infused creations epitomize femininity, grace and modernity. Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, her creative ethos is rooted in a heritage of effortless glamour, understanding from an early age a woman’s innate beauty, strength and sophistication. Founded in 2000 as an appointment only bespoke atelier.
In 2023 SOUCY launched the ANTHOPHILIA collection to bring Mariela’s passion towards preserving the art of craftsmanship, and the essence of the true one-of-a-kind bridal house experience to a broader audience. “Designing a wedding dress is an experience that goes beyond fashion. Mariela Torres Soucy
Mariela Torres Soucy was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. At age 22, she moved to New York to pursue the creative career she always dreamed of. With a degree in Fashion Design from Parson’s School of Design, Mariela began her professional path in fashion with Badgley Mischka followed by Mayela and Pamela Dennis.
In 2000 she founded SOUCY as an exclusive, bespoke atelier that has evolved after twenty years of one-on-one relationships with private clients. In 2023, it proudly launched its first bridal line, aiming to extend the designer's passion and expertise in self-representation through fabrics, embroidery and lace to a wider audience of women.
